I LOVE food, ergo, I LOVE vegan festivals because I am surrounded by delicious food, all of which I can eat. VEGAN HEAVEN. Here’s a few pictures from mine and Michael’s visit to the North East Vegan Festival at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on the 11th July.
Here’s me being happy n cute, in my element surrounded by vegan people and vegan food, ft. frizzy hair:
After paying our cheap as chips £2 entry, we proceeded to get stuck into the food, from hotdogs, schnitzel sandwiches and Jamaican patties, to cheesecake, honeycomb and marshmallows… when your philosophy seems to be “if it’s vegan, I’ll eat it”, it’s easy to go a bit wild when you can eat EVERYTHING.
Not forgetting the treats we bought to take away! (Some for my dad’s birthday I should add — I’m not that greedy I promise!)
We got our hands on some Sgaia steaks, which we were super excited to get stuck into, having sampled them at previous festivals – they’re pricey, but worth it if you’re searching for quality meat alternatives. Birthday treats for my dad included The Nut Roaster freshly ground cashew butter, Calder’s Kitchen Chillililli (Piccalilli), Essy & Bella peppermint chocolates and Newcastle Brewing Ltd beers. Quite the successful haul!
The next NEVFEST is at the Stadium of light in November, get yourselves down for aaall the vegan treats!
